Sort of blah kind of day…

Lightroom 6 decided to throw errors when I started it yesterday. The latest windows update failed to complete. Low disk space on my boot drive. Seems like that kind of weekend.

SFC /scannow found no errors so that’s good at least. I’m clearing things off the boot drive as fast as I can. Hoping that steam will honor a symbolic link to a scratch drive for its content…currently making a tarball to unpack over there…should get free space above 100 GB which would be good.

My fallback option for photo post-processing is a creative cloud subscription. Not thrilled with the idea that I might have to spend $20.00 a month to get working versions of lightroom and photoshop applications that I already own though. Hoping I can clean things up, reinstall lightroom (photoshop is still working properly) and fix this up.

The problem with lightroom did send me off to find the installers and serial number. This should help with my laptop as I’ve never upgraded that from lightroom 5 and need to go to 6 before it will handle raw images from my G7 Mark II belt camera.

I was hoping to get some programming done today but unless I set up the NUC downstairs, its looking like most of my time will be spent shepherding my office machine through self-repair…
