Draeger is holding a photo contest so I’ve grabbed a few shots to run off 8×10 prints of to submit. There are six categories. I’ll probably submit a couple of shots in ‘places’, ‘things’ and ‘animals’ and skip ‘people’, ‘humor’ and ‘black and white’. I have some ‘leanings’ at the moment from the sets of shots I’ve printed, but until I see how they render I’m going to reserve final judgement.
I did leave things off till a bit late so I have to have my shots in by end of day on Friday and Sam’s Club is indicating they’ll be available a bit before noon on that day…
Here are the shots I’m looking at.

Shots coming into the harbor at Nassau. It was a hazy day with rain showers so long distance visibility was not good. I think many of these shots came out well in any case and I snapped a few things I had not noticed on previous visits. More to come from after we tied up at the pier. Keep in mind, these are relatively unfiltered ‘interesting’ shots so there is a bit of duplication along the way…
The beginning of the day on the Dream headed in to Nassau. I’ve not spent time weeding these down so there is some redundancy. I processed shots that caught my eye in lightroom as I went.
Here’s a selection of shots from the first day of our cruise this year. Drippy day all through…cleared up a bit in the middle but not good shooting conditions so I have fewer sail away shots than I’d usually have…
We did the dessert fireworks in the Magic Kingdom one evening after the new fireworks show started. I’ve started rummaging through the shots from that evening and here are a few initial samples.
The brown pelicans seemed to have shifted from Cocoa Beach to the port area. I got some great shots of pelicans, gulls and frigate birds from the top deck of the ship.
I went with a more is better approach on this gallery…there are lots of Pelican shots and a smattering of other birds in here…
