The holidays are over and we’re into the cold and dark part of the year.

I got less technical stuff done over the week off than I had hoped but I think I worked through a few issues that needed to be dealt with. Expecting to move out on a number of fronts with the new year.

I’m going to try to post more regularly here in the coming year and improve my web presence going forward.

I’ll probably write up a 2017 retrospective sometime this week and try to touch base with folks now that the year has rolled over. Last year was pretty busy but rather low key in terms of reaching out to folks. Need to change that in 2018 and get more interesting things going.

Currently in transition at work as the project I was software lead on has wrapped with the end of the year and I’ve got three months of supporting tooling to put together here at the beginning of the year. Currently no visibility as to what comes next but I expect that will become clearer shortly.

Working on getting the back basement workbench area organized enough to be useful. My home office works for some things but the downstairs area is larger and more suited for mechanical and electrical work.
