I turned the old one around by packing it back in the box that the replacement came in and Lorna sent it on its way this morning.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So far it has been a pretty painless process. It took a bit of work to run through the steps they asked for to prove that the issue wasn&#8217;t software of configuration and it took a while longer to pull the many gigabytes of files I had stored on the device off. This time around, I&#8217;ll make sure to keep a set of backups on my desktop machine just in case.<\/p>\n<p>The new tablet is sitting on my desk at home charging up and running installs and updates to get its software back in sync with my google account.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight I&#8217;ll evaluate where its at and probably start loading files back on so that I can start using it as my primary tablet again. My 12 inch Samsung tablet in ok, but it is heavier and slower than the Pixel-C and the Pixel is large enough to make most reading (even technical stuff that expects a larger page) comfortable.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The replacement for my failing google Pixel-C tablet arrived yesterday afternoon.
