It has been a busy winter…

I’ve been wrapping up the program that I have been software lead on for the last year and a bit. I’ve also been doing some sandbox coding in C# with a focus on C# to C++/CLI interop as I’ve got a few software tools that need to cross over to from WPF to native code.

I’m now transitioning to a Java/Spring based program for a time.

It has been an interesting last couple of years working at KMC. C++/QNX to C#/Windows and Angular to Java with Angular. Keeps things interesting. All things I’m familiar with (except Angular which didn’t exist not so long ago) but everything with a twist 🙂

Currently looking at busting out in several directions with home projects…Angular seems to be getting progressively more important…C# remains a staple and a more productive environment for many things than C++ and Java shows up in cloud/web environments.

The one down-side of KMC comes from the contract engineering aspect. I never see the beginning of a program and I never see the end. I do miss the ownership aspect of working for a product company but diversity does make up for a lot.
