Coming into the harbor and on the short bus ride to the other side of the island I grabbed some shots of the areas we passed through. Beautiful old houses and interesting building (and lots of walls).
The entrance to the inner harbor at Guernsey.
We passed many small but very pretty houses as we drove to the far side of the island.
…also on our drive across the island…
We passed many of these high walls with nice doors on our way across the island.
No windows here…I’m guessing that things are crowded enough that folks value their privacy.
Walls and ivy…
This small but pretty church was right at the edge of the harbor parking lot.
The high wall that separates the dock area from the harbor.
This small lighthouse stands at the entrance to Guernsey’s harbor area.
A busy little harbor with a crowded town behind.
Odd little room with plants growing on the outside that clearly looks out over the harbor.
Looks as if the inner harbor area is set up to retain water even at low tide.
